The exhibition Expo.02 will be held from mid-May to mid-October 2002. This Swiss national exhibition will take place in the area of the three lakes, and it will attempt to give a stimulus to the country’s future. Morat, one of the four exhibition places, will be the location of the agriculture department. Chanvre-Info will attend with its own exhibition, Hemp-Expo 2002.

In Switzerland we are preparing to a new low for using hemp. This aims to an interested population, and it is possible thanks to pioneers having promoted this amazing plant for a few years. Hemp-Info is one of these pioneers.

After five years in business, Chanvre-Info has now two stores, one in Biel, one in Neuchâtel, as well as a farm in Morat and a whole network of mail order (www.chanvre-info.ch). The aim is to promote hemp as a natural plant. Thus, we sell a whole range of hemp products. Every three months we inform our thousands of customers on new legal decisions, and medical research.

Therefore, the national exhibition Expo.02 is of interest to us. Our idea is clear: to emphasise on the many qualities of hemp for a wide audience during the formal exhibition.

At this moment, we are restructuring the farm at the castle of Prehl in Morat. It is located a few yards from the exhibition’s agriculture site, and it can be reached easily.

We wish to show the hemp resources to a wide audience, free of charge.

Crossing the botanical garden, visiting the historical exhibition, observing the making of hempseed oil or the building of a little house made out of hemp, going through the fields with typical tools, attending scientific conferences, and thus promoting as many hemp products as possible, and the wealth of publications. The better it is, the more news items and attendance.
